Class Notes March 22: Orders of Business
First, I'm going to need a few days to put down all the Vonnegut stuff. We're going to spend all next week on him. Be sure to read as much as you can, and to have passages you identified as interesting, confusing, or whatever for Monday, and be sure to know WHY you believe what you believe.
Some of you turned in written reports about what you saw Monday--since I didn't take attendance, this is a fair way to show me you attended and considered what took place. If you attended but didn't speak in class today, I would consider writing down some of your thoughts and reactions (low-stakes style, paragraph or two) and sending it to me. Or just give it to me Monday. If you don't write me anything and didn't speak, I'll just assume you didn't attend--in which case I'll just note that for your participation grade--what else can I do?
Second, the essay is now due Wednesday the 29th. If you have it for Monday, fine.
I will read drafts for the next few days (through Sunday or so). I will read any stage of writing you send me.
